Hello, up for your consideration is a rare ca. 1900s or earlier wooden jewelry trinket box, figural as small church bench. Unique box one of a kind. The box has hinged lid and key lock. Decorated with gargoyle faces on front and cherub, demon faces on backrest. The box is completely hand made with great attention to details. Monastery work in my opinion. Found in France last summer. Excellent condition for its age. Measures: 8 1/2” x 9 1/4” x 5 3/4′. Condition: original as is on photos.
