Vintage Iridescent Pastel Inlay Lacquer Mother of Pearl Korean Jewelry Box. This jewelry box is quite the statement piece! The box itself is made of wood with inlay mother of pearl throughout the whole exterior and has a lacquer finish. The mother of pearl is iridescent giving off a vibrant pastel rainbow hue throughout. Looks incredible in the light. The design itself is a nature scene with several birds perched surrounded by unique flowers and trees. The box is black outside of the inlay mother of pearl. The interior is a vibrant red with a mirror on the opposite side. It has a snap closure in the shape of a turtle with a silver metal plate behind it. There is a hinged open and close on the back with the same silver hardware as the front. The mother of pearl box is beautiful in an of itself, but the hardware adds an equally lovely and unique touch to the box. It just adds another cool element to this already incredible piece. This jewelry box is rare and hard to come by. There are similar style to this type of piece, but this specific shape and design is uncommon.
