It has been called a document box, table top or desk top chest, jewelry, trinket or storage box or or treasure chest depending on who is describing it. The carvings are masterful, intricate and well done. It is in excellent condition and suitable for regular use. The wood has a lovely patina. It measures approximately 10″ high x 7″ wide x 12 long. It is sure to become a treasured family heirloom. Box is fitted with a brass lock, which someone forced it open and bent the pin, key is missing.
