












Antique Calamander Jewellery Box circa 1860. Antique Calamander jewellery box with brass edging, stringing, engraved initial plate and shield shape escutcheon. The initial plate is engraved with the Latin: At Spes Non Fracta, which translates to “Hope is Not Yet Crushed”. The interior is lined with blue velvet and black silk and features a removable tray with four compartments, two of which are fitted for rings, earrings of cufflinks. Underneath this are four more padded compartments. The lid of the box houses a free-standing mirror behind a padded velvet, leatherback flap which has a makers label that reads: F. Hausburg 24 Church St. This jewellery box comes with a fully working lock and tasselled key. 14.5cm high x 31.5cm wide x 19cm deep. Terms and conditions apply.
