Brass and either brass or one other metal in the applied metal mounts, brass hinges. Lots of detail and craftsmanship in this piece. Measures 11 inches in length, 8 1/8 inches width, 5 inches in height. I have pictures in various types of lighting for you. Also, colors on computers vary so lets say its brown wood in tone! Very excellent vintage or older condition, little details to notice but overall great vintage condition, some lines in the grain on the top from the woodworking process, a slight space where lid meets base (these are pictured) as an example, refer to the photos on condition and view on large screen and enlarge as my photos are part of my description of this piece. Its old and the style resembles 1800s English but I dont think its that old.
