This stunning jewelry box or chest looks to have been made of wood, possibly oak, and then had gorgeous flowers and trims applied. If I had to guess it looks like the trims were molded of celluloid type material and then stained a wood color. Box measures 8″ high, 7″ wide and 4 deep across the bottom. Inside are 4 drawers. The trims have suffered losses over the years but the chest is so ornate that the misses are hardly of any consequence. I have treasured it for many years and I’m sure the new owner will also.
