Up for sale is a wonderful antique German 19th century black forrest wooden puzzle box. It’s completely carved by hand with elaborate detailing throughout and is a very nice quality box. It features a slidable puzzle style face panel that has a false skeleton key lock when shut and real one the slid. It is nicely footed and has a hand carved relief style flower on the top. Working skeleton key locking mechanism but is missing the key. The box has acquired a lovely patina from age, in good condition, and measures 6 1/2 inches long by 4 3/4 inches wide by 4 inches tall.
