Up for sale is a nice quality antique 19th century handmade wooden box. It’s made out of a rich colored veneered wood which has acquired a lovely patina from age and is embellished with nailed brass appliqués throughout. It has a pivoting brass mounted handle at the top and the box opens on hinges exposing the compartmentalized interior. The box has a skeleton key locking mechanism but the key doesn’t work. It’s in nice antique condition and measures 10 3/4 inches long by 8 inches wide by 5 1/2 inches tall. It has a hairline crack along the top with a very early repair shown from underneath the lid.
