Great early 20th century at the latest primitively carved Chinese Huanghuali wood box with foo dogs, floral, and a bat motif. Primitive laquer on this piece and beautiful red velveteen lining – clearly never used or restored at some point. The lining of the box smells of cedar or some sort of spice wood.
