An absolutely stunning Antique Victorian Jewellery/Trinket Box – Walnut Veneered with vibrant Tunbridge Inlay and Mother of Pearl Cartouche and Escutcheon surrounded by more Inlay. It has its original working brass lock and keep with a working key. It also has its original brass hinges. The size of the box is 30.5 cm x 23 cm x 15.5 cm approx. 12″ x 9″ x 6.25. The interior of the box is lined out in a red paper and the underside of the lid and inside base of the box are covered in a lovely claret coloured moleskin velvet fabric. The underside of the box is covered in a green felt/baize material for the protection of furniture. As you would expect with an item of this age it does have the odd mark/dink etc but nothing major. It also has a small piece of veneer missing from the back right corner of the lid which is hardly noticeable (if you look at picture 5 you will see what I mean).
