Antique Swiss Black Forest Walnut Wood Carving Trinket Jewelry Footed Box Roebuck Stag Edelweiss 3D Relief. It is carved from walnut wood in Swiss Black Forest style by one of the master carvers in Brienz, Switzerland, dating to circa 1900. We see a 3D Roebuck stag on top next to a small tree/bush. Front shows edelweiss flowers carved in filigree relief. Sides show flowers carved in high relief, also. The box has four feet with vine/branch leaf carving. Inside has tufted pillow lining in lid and well of box. It is sea foam colored silk. It measures 9 1/2″ tall, 10 1/4″ total width, 6 deep. Inside box measures 7 5/16″ wide x 2 1/2″ tall x 3 7/8 deep (front to back). Very good used condition showing great patina. There is a key that came with this box, but does not work.
