Its a really superb box in great restored order. Original inlaid solid brass throughout. Solid brass central cartouche and keyhole escutcheon. YOU WILL NOT BE DISAPPOINTED WITH THIS BOX. Box retains the original brass lock, original hinges, and top catch. Comes complete with a silk tassel and Victorian key that FULLY LOCKS the box. A bit stiff but does the job very well. Comprising a wonderful interior that has been relined in expensive plush velvet material of the highest quality. It looks much better than you see in the pictures. Beneath the box has also been lined in velvet to stop any scratched to other surfaces. A superb box, and would make a fantastic gift. A box that has multitude uses.
