Superb Victorian dome lidded jewellery box in beautiful walnut with very colourful Tunbridge ware bands of us exotic woods in a pleasing intricate design. The box also has diamond shaped Tunbridge inlay to the lid cartouche and on the lock escutcheon complete with its fully working lock and tasseled key. The interior of the box is fitted in shades of blue and has a lift out jewellery tray with several divided sections including a ring holder slot and a central lidded compartment trimmed in turquoise blue satin with pearlised handle, below the tray is a generous storage area finished in matching blue. The under lid liner is in deep padded and studded turquoise satin with complimentary light blue braid trim. At the base the box is finished with traditional green burlap. This very pretty box with exceptional inlay has been professionally and sympathetically restored to a high standard and with a lovely refurbished interior is now ideal for your jewellery items or other precious keepsakes.
