Up for sale is a wonderful antique German 19th century black forrest wooden box. It’s completely carved by hand with elaborate detailing throughout and is a very nice quality box. It is nicely footed and has a hand carved relief style flower on the top along with engraved lettering “Appenzell”. Working skeleton key locking mechanism and comes with the key. The box has acquired a lovely patina from age, in good condition, and measures 8 inches long by 4 3/4 inches wide by 3 inches tall. It is lined with a yellow velour and does have some staining.
