19TH CENTURY ANTIQUE MARQUETRY INLAY TEA CADDY / JEWELRY BOX. We’re delighted to offer for sale this exceptional 19th century antique parquetry inlay tea caddy / jewelry box. A select few we sent off to important auctions & private clients but retained a half dozen or so super high quality boxes to offer on this sales platform. This box features an all over geometric parquetry design encompassed by a variegated wood border along the 4 sides & an inlaid 6 pointed star along the top. The star points are book matched to their opposing point and the entirety of the design comes together for a striking visual effect. The box retains it’s original lock & hasp and retains a very old most likely original surface with a slight alligatoring of the finish. The box measures 6 3/4″ wide x 5″ deep x 5 tall. We are a wholly owned family business in our third decade of continuous operation.
