











AN UNUSUAL EARLY 20th CENTURY GERMAN JEWELLERY BOX. An unusual and interesting early 20th century solid walnut German possibly Black Forest? Jewellery box on bun feet, having carved decorations to the front and lid, with two brass cartouches of a stags head. To open the box when unlocked the two sections of the box slide on rails left and right which automatically opens the little bottom. Internally there is a lift out compartmented tray, and the internals have been relined in a dark blue valour. The makers label is present under the lining of the drawer (see photo 11) which reads:- N. Condition is very good having no major damage or previous repairs; there are a few insignificant minor surface knocks due to use and a crack to the base, also there is a very slight leaf loss to the right cartouche at the bottom, see photos 4 & 5.
