Beautifully designed box from olive wood with swallows on lid. There are two books horizontally placed at the top and bottom, and a volume of upright books spines in between. These are numbered in Roman Numerals of which behind the VI the lock is hidden. The secret compartment is within the bottom horizontally placed book. The interior is lined with the light blue fabric. Condition: original as found and as is on photos. The key is missing. Please, be sure to view all photos carefully as they are included as part of the item description. Measures: 9” x 5 3/8”x 4 3/8′.
