Antique Civil War Era Wooden Inlaid Jewelry Trinket Box. Up for sale today is this Antique Civil War Era Wooden Inlaid Large Jewelry Trinket Box. This is a very nice well made box in good condition. The top lid show a spiral/circular design with pieces of oak inlay motif. Lid opens and closes as it should and closes with hinged hooks. The bottom of the box has a blue type velvet material which has been placed in it. Box measures 7.5″ in height x 12.25″ in width x 16.25 in length. The circular patterns and inlay are made out of oak wood. I think but not sure the other wood on the top and sides is cherry, and pine appears to be in the base of the box. The handle was replaced and it does not have the original handle which came on the box and new drill holes were placed to place the handle on top of the box. This is made with ” square ” nails. This box weighs: 9.5 pounds and is quite heavy. Thank you for looking at this charming jewelry/trinket box.
