Normal patina to wood and brass from being very old. The wood is very solid and sturdy. There are a few early age cracks but nothing is loose. It looks like there is one missing round brass decorative button on the top , it looks like it probably fell off many years ago. You really have to look for it and count the buttons to tell that it is missing one. There is also a small brass strap on the side order that just needs a small nail or tack to fasten it back on. It is just missing one small nail to make it back to normal. This chest lid measures about 19 3/4 x 14 inches , and it sits about 11 inches tall. Each of the 3 drawers measure about 5 1/2 x 2 1/2 x 12 inches. The hinges work fine and the clasp works fine. Again there is normal wear consistent with age and use over many years. This box is very sturdy and solid. Great for any collector to display. Please view the photos.
