Swiss Black Forest Wood Carving JEWELRY MUSIC BOX 3-Tier Accordion Mirror w/KEY Brienz. It is carved from wood in Swiss Black Forest Style showing edelweiss, alpenrose flowers on the lid, and carved floral decor on the front. It has a key, which locks the top level keeping items safe. When locked on top, the lower tiers can still open when the latch is released. Top tier holds a mirror. Two upper tiers are tufted brown silk. Lower level, next to the music box, is lined with the brown silk. This box is “old/new” unsold stock from the famous carving company, Jobin, in Brienz, Switzerland. The music box plays An der Schoenen Blauen Donau Kaiser Walzer (according to the label underneath). It is marked (made by) CUENDET SWITZERLAND. When closed, box measures 7″ tall, 7 1/2″ wide, and 5 1/2 deep. Fully open (in photo 8) it is 10 5/8″ tall, 7 1/2″ wide, and 16 7/8 long. Very good used condition. This is a new, unused item, and dates to the mid-1900s. Jobin is closed now so similar “new/old” items are becoming rarer. See all photos as part of complete condition detail.
