A Regency mahogany inlaid jewelry chest, circa 1820. The substantial amount of edge inlay is a lively mix of light and dark woods giving the chest a sense of movement to the overall design. The double doors feature large satin wood oval inlays. The lid in the closed position keeps the doors shut, and vice versa. The interior houses generous storage – on top is a large tray and the two over two drawers are lined with pink paper. The top interior and inside of the doors are lined with gray paper. The drawer pulls are an unknown silver tone material. From my parents 60 year antique collections. It measures 11″ tall, 10 3/4″ wide and 5 3/4 deep.
