A vintage c1930s Art Deco WW2 i. World War 2 period RAF Royal Air Force jewellery box apparently associated with the Air Defence Cadet Corps or Air Training Corps. The box has appropriate applied brass insignia with Kings Crown to the top of the box. It measures approximately 7.9 in (200 mm) x 4.8 in (122 mm) and stands 3.75 in (95 mm) high. The box has been very skilfully made with inlaid boxwood and ebony stringing in a geometric design to the lid and with further boxwood stringing around the sides and front of the box. It has a lift-out tray and brass fittings including a SECURE LEVER lock with key. The box is in very good condition overall with just a surface split to one corner (nothing to worry about) with some surface marks commensurate with age and use. The item “LOVELY WW2 VINTAGE RAF AIR TRAINING CADET CORPS INLAID MAHOGANY JEWELLERY BOX” is in sale since Sunday, March 18, 2018. This item is in the category “Antiques\Woodenware\Boxes”.
