    For sale is a uniquely beautiful jewelry box handcrafted from gorgeous Oregon Birdseye Maple Burl wood with smooth sides and removable lid. This amazing Burl wood Box measures. 7 1/8 (at longest part of base) by just under 5 wide by 2 ½ tall and boasts an absolutely amazing wood grain. The box is comprised of three linear edges and one untouched, organically formed edge. The piece which was created in the late 20th century (circa 1980s) is signed Michael Elkan Studio and is in beautiful Vintage condition. Sadly, Michael passed away in 2014. Master woodworker Michael Elkan opened his Oregon studio in 1980 and created wooden furniture and accessories until turning to other pursuits in 2002.
